Best Time for a Photography Safari

The best time to visit is May to October, although November to April also offers good viewing.

As Botswana lies just south of the equator its seasons are opposite to that in the nothern hemisphere. Botswana’s winter, running from April to October with drier days and clear skies perfect for game view. Our local experts are able to work with you to discuss your options nad give you the best advice possible.

May to October:

Known as their Dry Seaon this is the most popular time to visit, with clear days and cooler temperatures. This is the best time for viewing some of the big five and beautiful birdlife.

November to April:

Considered to be the start and peak of the Rainy Season with heavy and sometimes long showers. There are days that could be fairly dry and bright, you are more likely to see herbivores and potentially sightings of new borns.
